Essay Topics for ClassThe ninth of our student essay topics for class is the chapter topic. Each of these essays is presented by a faculty member of the college. Students will choose and need to use one of these in order to fill the entire chapter or section that they are writing. One of the major questions that each student will be asked to answer is, 'What is your theme?' The student will be asked to present their theme in their own words and include an outline. Some faculty members may also ask a question pertaining to the theme. There are several different essay topics for each chapter, depending on what the faculty member needs. First of all, some topics will have to do with a specific time period, such as 1776 or the Revolutionary War. Some topics will have to do with historical periods, such as pre-Columbian, pre-Columbian American Indian, or even the historical period known as the Middle Ages. Topics can also deal with a place, such as the Great Lakes, or a region of the world, such as America in the nineteenth century.Students will choose the topic based on what their topic is, based on what their interests are, and based on the style that they prefer to write the essay. For example, some students are more comfortable writing about a particular group of people in a particular time period, while others prefer to write about an area or country in a variety of settings.
